Centre > Nieuwmarkt Located in the Nieuwmarkt area, overlooking the beautiful Oudeschans canal, a very quiet location without much traffic.
This canal view studio is very close to Nieuwmarkt square (with lots of restaurants, a supermarket and a street market), Waterlooplein Fleamarket, Opera House, Rembrandt House, Artis Zoo and Gassan Diamonds factory.
Public transport: metro station Nieuwmarkt is very close by, and is just 1 stop from Central Station (which is a 5-10 min. walk).

Please note:
- The house is owned by classical musicians and the room above is their music room, so it is possible that you might occasionally hear them playing viola and/or cello. Never before 10 am or after 10 pm though.

This romantic studio apartment is in an early 17th century canal house, which has just been completely restored, on the inside and outside.
The apartment has been redecorated up to modern standards, but old details have been restored (the old beams in the ceiling, the window shutters, 2 of the windows still have original stained glass windows).

The studio (with canal view) consists of one room, with the bed, the kitchen and a sofa, and a separate bathroom with toilet.

The middle window can be opened completely, allowing you to enjoy dinner with a view on the Oudeschans canal. The streets along the canal are very quiet, the neighbourhood does not get much traffic.

The apartment gets the afternoon sun (in summer from about 2pm).

The window shutters can be closed.

The bathroom has tiles with floor heating. The mirror is heated.

Provided are:
- wireless broadband internet
- fully equipped kitchen
- washer/dryer
- hair dryer
- iron and ironing board
- tv and stereo. The tv has a built-in dvd-player (region-free).

The apartment is non-smoking, and no pets are allowed.

Beds and bedrooms

The bed is a double bed (not separable). A baby cot or children's bed can be provided (please not the apartment is 2 flights of stairs up).

Because of the extra thick curtains and the window shutters that can be closed, the room can be darkened very well. At this time (January 11, 2007) the curtains for 2 of the windows still have to be hung, this is expected in the next 2 weeks or so.

A babycot can be arranged, as well as a children's bed for slightly older children.
